Tottenham Hotspur manager, Ange Postecoglou has said that achieving success in the round leather game boils down to assembling a balanced team.
Postecoglou, 58, opined that spending on the best players around the world doesn’t guarantee victory.
“I’ve never felt it is about just spending money, you can’t have 24 world-class players. That will never work. It’s been proven.
“Just spending endless money to get the best players has been proven that it is not the answer. The answer is to get the right chemistry in your team,” he told BBC.
The former Celtic manager added: “It’s about having a squad that’s balanced. Having guys that maybe aren’t going to play every game, but every time they play, they make a huge impact.”
Postecoglou has had a good start to his managerial role at Spurs since he joined in the 2023 summer transfer window as they lead the Premier League standings with 26 points after 10 games.
The league leaders will face Chelsea on Monday night for their matchday eleven fixture.
